Harlingen Auto-Pedestrian Accident

On October 19, 2018 at approximately 7:25 P.M., the Harlingen Police Department responded to a call of an Auto-Pedestrian at the 300 block of North Bus. 77.

When officers arrived on the scene, a male was found lying on the roadway in front of a vehicle. 

During the course of the investigation, Officers learned that the vehicle was driving out of a parking lot onto Bus. 77 and struck the male who was attempting to cross Bus. 77 on foot westbound.

The driver of the vehicle immediately stopped and rendered aid until emergency services arrived. 

EMS arrived on scene, and transported the male to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries. 

This case is currently being investigated by the Harlingen Police Highway Enforcement Unit.
