H-E-B is on the search for new products to place on the shelf.

The chain’s Primo Picks is currently taking place.

Leaders met in McAllen with potential applicants to talk about products Thursday morning.

A Mission entrepreneur, Pilar Gonzalez, got 2nd place at the 2014 contest.

Gonzalez tells applicants the contest is a great way to grow their business.

“Come join the quest. The HEB Quest for Texas best,” said Gonzalez. “I’m just cheering for everybody. I want to see our home best products at the shelves of HEB.”

Nearly $500,000 have been awarded and over 600 products have been added to the shelves since launching in 2014.
