H-E-B is continuing to support the community with a $10,000 check to help support the ‘Christmas for Kids’ event in McAllen.

According to Chief Victor Rodriguez with the McAllen Police Department, the money will be used to purchase toys for the event.

“It is a program that is designed to help the needy kids in the McAllen area,” said Rodriguez.

If you want to receive a bag of goodies, you can go by the McAllen Police Department any day this week between the hours of noon and 6 p.m. to get your pass for the event, according to Rodriguez. With that pass, you’ll be guaranteed a bag of goodies including a toy, fruit, and candy.

The event will take place on Saturday at the McAllen Municipal Park at 8:30 a.m.
