Group holds ‘Wall-A-thon’ for next project

RIO GRANDE VALLEY, Texas – The group ‘We Build the Wall’ is now moving on to its next project after completing the privately-funded border barrier in Sunland Park, New Mexico. The group is hosting a fundraiser tonight at the site of the border barrier.

The president of the group ‘We Build the Wall’ was joined by former White House strategist, Steve Bannon.

The group’s president, Brian Kolfage, tells us this is a fundraising effort to begin more projects along the U.S. and Mexico border to help federal agencies in deterring illegal crossings across the southern border.

Adding that there are three projects in the works, also funded and built by the same group.

“By doing this and building the wall, and building the wall, and protecting our communities, and the people who actually live on the border. But, we’re also keeping it in the spotlight and the media is down here right now cause we’re here and we’re keeping it in the forefront of the media to let people know there is a crisis and it’s on both sides, not just the American side, not just the Republican side.” Said Brian Kolfage, President of the ‘We Build the Wall’ group.

Kolfage says the goal is to raise ten million dollars during this three-day event. They are selling plaques along each bollard section of the barrier, as well as bricks that donors can have engraved.

The “Wall-A-Thon” will have wrapped up around nine tonight, and will pick up again tomorrow through Wednesday.
