Geotechnical Surveys To Begin For Border Wall Construction

Local News

Beginning next Monday, the U.S. Army Corps of engineers will begin geotechnical surveys for the Rio Grande Valley levee border wall system construction.

The surveys will be completed along the international boundary and water commission levee between Abram, Texas and Mission.

This area will be the first levee border wall segment in Hidalgo County.

Observations and soil samples from the borings and trenches will be used to identify soil properties and characteristics.

We are told the surveys should be completed by December 21st.
