Gas prices are on the uptick across Texas as spring arrives, and drivers across the RGV are feeling it.
According to Triple A, the average price for a gallon of regular gas in Texas is currently at $2.38.
In Brownsville there has been an eleven-cent increase. You can expect to pay $2.29, and slightly higher in McAllen at $2.30.
Last week drivers there were gassing up at an average of $2.18 for regular unleaded.
Triple A attributed the surge to warmer weather causing more people to hit the road, coupled with shrinking supplies as refineries go offline.
