Former McAllen teacher arrested for improper relationship with a student out on bond

MCALLEN, Texas (KVEO) — A former McAllen school teacher accused of having a sexual relationship with a student is out on bond.

Marisela Mendoza Winn, 41, is facing charges for an improper relationship between educator and student.

Winn’s bond was set at $60,000 and is pending trial.

Court records show Winn cannot be in contact with victim or those under the age of 17 as condition of bond.

Winn’s pre-trial hearing is set for September 2.

Winn pleaded not guilty on Monday after being re-indicted on her original charge.
