Food Bank of the Rio Grande Valley receives over $30,000 in funds

PHARR, Texas — The Food Bank of the Rio Grande Valley announced it has received $30,700 in funding from the Bank of America Charitable Foundation and the company’s local Merrill Lynch offices.

The food bank said the funds are to support their ongoing efforts to the increasing demand for services brought on by COVID-19.

This crucial funding will enable the Food Bank RGV to provide up to 153,500 healthy and nutritious meals for those who are food insecure in the Rio Grande Valley through their Drive Thru Emergency Pantry services and partner agency distributions, said the food agency.
