Families are displaced after a massive fire Progreso. The fire consumed three homes. Weslaco Fire Chief Antonio Lopez says they were called out to East Gonzalez and Maria Street at around 1:30 PM. He describes the flames bursting from one home and already catching on to the second. The 20 mile per hour winds made it difficult for the firefighters. The flames went onto a third home. Two houses are a complete loss. The third is partially damaged. Two residents were taken to the hospital with minor injuries. Hidalgo County Fire Marshals are investigating what started the fire.
