Final Jury Selection in Murder Trial of Border Patrol Agent Could Take Up To Two Months

Jury selection for the murder trial of the man accused of killing a border patrol agent could take up to two months.

This is the second trial for the shooting death of Agent Javier Vega Jr. who was killed in 2014 while fishing with his family.

Earlier this year Gustavo Tijerina-Sandoval was given the death penalty for Agent Vega’s death. Now accused killer Ismael Hernandez-Vallejo will stand trial.

The pool of potential jurors is around 200.
