Local News

BROWNSVILLE, Texas – A decision has been made regarding the approval of Liquefied Natural Gas projects along the Port of Brownsville. The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) approved four LNG projects to export natural gas. Three of the facilities will operate along the Brownsville ship channel and one near Corpus Christi. The commission’s go-ahead on the projects is causing concerns over the impact on the environment. Members of Save RGV From LNG are gathering to speak on their disapproval for the LNG projects.
