BROWNSVILLE, Texas – Plans continue in Brownsville for the arrival of a soldier killed by an explosive in Afghanistan.
Funeral arrangements for U.S. Army PFC Miguel A. Villalon are scheduled for Friday and Saturday of next week. Villalon was one of two service members killed by a roadside bomb during a NATO support mission. His body arrived to Dover Air Force Base in Delaware on Tuesday and is en route to the Rio Grande Valley.
PFC Villalon was living in Joliet, Illinois, but wanted to be buried in his hometown of Brownsville. Sources planning the services tell Local 23 News that ‘Funeraria Del Angel Buena Vista’ will be handling funeral arrangements.
A public viewing is in the works for next weekend. More details will be made available as they arrive.
