Elementary Students Learn Lesson about Fresh Produce

Students from the Brownsville Independent School District had a ‘hands on’ lesson about fresh produce.

Elementary students from Paredes Elementary attended the school districts second annual Farmers Market.

Each student was given $3.00 in a fictional currency to purchase their own fruits and vegetables. 

Students learned about nutrition, locally grown food and responsibility.
