Sarah Rodriguez, Edinburg Police, “He was on the phone via 911. One of our dispatchers had expressed to him and kind of built trust in him over the course of 43 minutes. His name is Jonathan Salas [dispatcher] and expressed his concerns for him and was able to pretty much talk him down from his original suicidal ideations.”

Police tell us the courthouse’s construction company has taken measures to secure the site more efficiently.
