EDINBURG, Texas (KVEO) — The voter fraud trial for Edinburg mayor Richard Molina has been delayed.

According to court records, Molina’s trial was previously scheduled for June 1. However, records show the Hidalgo County Board of Judges filed an order Thursday halting jury trials.

Molina and his wife Dalia turned themselves in April 2019. They were charged with multiple offenses of voter fraud.

Various individuals are also facing charges in connection to the case.
