On Friday, August 26 2016 at approximately 4pm, the Cameron County District Attorney’s Office Special Investigation Unit along with law enforcement officials from Homeland Security Investigations, Cameron County Precinct 4 Constable’s Office, the Ranch Viejo Police Department, the Cameron County Sheriff’s Office and the HIDTA-White Sands Task Force executed a search warrant at the residence of 3920 Solid Drive, Brownsville Texas. Upon entrance the investigators made contact with Jason Meyn, 37. Upon searching the residence Investigators discovered the home had been converted into a highly sophisticated hydroponic marijuana growing lab. Each room in the 3 bedroom home was a designated area of operation for the growing of the hydroponic marijuana. Over 100 plants in various stages of growth were seized along with paraphernalia, including scales and smoking devices. Meyn was arrested for criminal conspiracy and for possession with intent to distribute marijuana. He is currently in federal custody awaiting the disposition of his charges.
