Driver leads police on chase, breaks police unit window

RIO GRANDE CITY, Texas – A driver led Rio Grande City Police in a vehicle pursuit after officers attempted to conduct a traffic stop.

Around 2 p.m. on Wednesday officers attempted to conduct a motor vehicle stop on a white Chevrolet Impala on Sixth Street by Britton Avenue.

The driver, 18-year-old Moises Rebollar, lead police on a chase that ended on Barranco Street.

Rebollar was arrested and charged with evading arrest with a motor vehicle, reckless driving and criminal mischief, after he broke the back rear window of a patrol unit.
