The Texas Department of Public Safety has identified the pilot killed in a crop duster plane crash near Harlingen on Tuesday. 

The pilot has been identified as Bernard Rowland II, 72, from La Sara. 

The Federal Aviation Administration is continuing to investigate the crash.

One man has been confirmed deceased at the scene of a crop duster plane crash near Harlingen, according to DPS. 

Authorities say the Federal Aviation Administration will be taking over the investigation as troopers secure the scene. 

Sources tell CBS 4 that the crop duster hit a power line and went down.
