On Wednesday night March 27, Texas Troopers prevented a vehicle, and the driver from falling approximately 20 feet into a canal with water. 

According to DPS, the quick thinking allowed troopers to use tow straps to secure the vehicle until the wrecker service arrived. 

The driver and his family including his wife and four children said they were very grateful and excited to see State Troopers assist and in this incident. 

DPS said on Facebook, the vehicle would have eventually fallen into the canal, and the driver could have potentially sustained injuries.

According to DPS, the incident occurred near Edinburg.
