CBS 4 has learned the identity of the driver responsible for a fatal auto-pedestrian crash that killed 35-year-old Jorge Gerardo Delgadillo. 

Adrian Ramirez was driving westbound on Gonzalez St. near Progreso on Saturday when he struck and killed Delgadillo. 

According to Hidalgo County Public Records, Ramirez is charged with driving while intoxicated and is currently out on bond.

The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) is currently investigating a fatal auto-pedestrian crash that occurred on Saturday near Progreso on Gonzalez St. just west of Jose St.

Preliminary information revealed a 2008 Chevrolet Avalanche was traveling westbound on Gonzalez St. The pedestrian, identified as 35-year-old Jorge Gerardo Delgadillo, was walking in the same direction and was struck by the Avalanche. Delgadillo died at the scene.

The driver of the Avalanche was arrested for driving while intoxicated.
