An update to this story, a suspect has been arrested in this break-in and has confessed to the crime.

The Donna Independent School District Police Department is asking for the public’s help in locating suspects involved in an overnight break-in at Donna North High School.

DISD Police Chief Daniel Walden said the suspects broke into the campus through a side door Sunday night. Once inside, the burglars grabbed the keys to a police unit and took the vehicle from the parking lot. Later that evening, the patrol car attempted to pull over a Hidalgo County Sheriff’s unit. Instead of stopping, the deputy sheriff gave chase. The patrol car ultimately came to a stop at Dillon and Wisconsin Roads north of Donna where according to the sheriff’s deputy, multiple suspects were seen bailing out of the unit.

Anyone with information on the suspects is urged to contact the Donna ISD Police Department at 956-464-1735.
