DHS Releases Separation Numbers For Children Under Five

The Department of Homeland Security has released new details about the number of kids under the age of five who were separated with their families. DHS breaks it down with a lot of details. But, beyond these children under five, many other older children remain separated from their parents. 

According to the DHS, 57 children have been reunified as of 7 a.m. EST on July 12. 46 children were acknowledged by the court to be ineligible for reunification or determined by HHS, DHS, and DOJ to be ineligible under court-approved criteria.
