Body found in Edinburg identified as 48-year-old man

EDINBURG, Texas (ValleyCentral) — Edinburg Police has identified the decomposing body that was found on Saturday morning, officials say.

Officers arrived at the 3200 block of Turquoise Street, and found a body of a man in a state of decomposition, a release from city officials states.

Edinburg Police Department identified the man as 48-year-old Mauro Garza.

“The investigation is ongoing and an autopsy is pending.” Edinburg City Officials say in the release.
