Dallas Cowboys Evaluating Needs For Next Season

Local News

Now that the Dallas Cowboys are out of the playoffs, the evaluation of staff and players begins.

One of the biggest needs on offense is to find a backup swing tackle. If ever Tyron Smith or La’el Collins can’t play, the offense won’t malfunction as badly as it did with Smith out this year. Next step, add some more speed to the offense, either a wide receiver or a backup running back.

On defense get Demarcus Lawrence resigned. That should be priority number one in free agency. He led the team with 14.5 sacks. Also resign Anthony Hitchens. If the Cowboys don’t they will be at the mercy of free agency. With the linebacker position there is Jaylon Smith. Has he fully recovered from his knee problems? Will Dallas take a linebacker in their second round? Hitchens is able to play the middle behind Sean Lee.
