Cameron County Judge Eddie Trevino says there is no directive from U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) indicating the mandatory closure of Land Port of Entries amid COVID-19 pandemic. 

According to a release sent by the county, international bridge operations are to remain the same. The County will continue to handle any and all commercial, passenger vehicles, and pedestrian traffic crossings. 

The following International Bridges will remain open, according to the county: 

  • Veterans International Bridge at Los Tomates-Open 6:00 A.M. to 12:00 A.M.
  • Gateway International Bridge-Open 24 Hours 
  • Free Trade International Bridge at Los Indios-Open 6:00 A.M. to 12:00 A.M.
