WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congressman Vicente Gonzalez announcing the launch of the 15th District of Texas’ first annual “Valentines for Vets” program to collect and distribute Valentine’s Day cards to local veterans.
Constituents of all ages are encouraged to participate by dropping off or mailing cards to Congressman Gonzalez’s McAllen or Seguin office, or by dropping off cards at his satellite offices in San Diego, Benavides, or Falfurrias. The deadline for submissions is Friday, February 7, 2020.
“Our brave service men and women are owed the greatest amount of respect and admiration for their sacrifice to our country. This Valentine’s Day, I hope the community will join me in honoring our troops with a small token of appreciation,” said Congressman Gonzalez. “A heartfelt card or handwritten note is a great way to give back to those who have given so much for our country.”
This is the inaugural event of “Valentines for Veterans” and the Congressional office hopes the constituents of the 15th District of Texas will answer the call for cards just as our military fighting men and women did for us.
