On Tuesday, November 5, a massacre of nine people, women and children, in the Mexican state of Chihuahua highlighted the increasing stranglehold of Mexican cartels in parts of the country and the nation’s inability to combat them.
Congressman Gonzalez outlines the need for the Mexican government to accept U.S. assistance and throws the gauntlet at the Mexican political establishment to summon the political will to create a collaborative national security strategy. He addresses that it is only a matter of time before the violence in the Mexico has a direct effect on the United States.
