BROWNSVILLE — Honors are flying in from everywhere for healthcare workers.
This time, Valley Baptist workers were honored through the sky by the Commemorative Air Force RGV Wing.
On Wednesday, the Los Fresnos-based organization took to the sky to recognize the dedication of local heroes with a fly-ver at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Brownsville.
The hospital’s CEO says this came at the perfect time.
“I think the team was really excited to see them this is national hospital week, last week nurses week, so we’ve been doing a lot of things to celebrate and recognize the team,” said Leslie Bingham, Valley Baptist Health System CEO.
Bingham adds that management knew about the flyover ahead of time but waited to surprise the staff on the day of the event.
