Local News

Students at South Texas College in McAllen can now take advantage of 600 free parking spaces.

To assist the students financially, STC is removing its parking permit requirement at its Park and Ride facility. Officials say this comes after students claim they could not afford the $25.00 parking permit.

Chief Paul Varville – STC Police, “We have full security. We have surveillance cameras and police patrol the area. We have good security. Students are aware that they can park there safely and can be transported to our campus through our shuttle busses.”

The Park and Ride facility is located on 4100 West Pecan Boulevard. It will be open Monday through Thursday from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
