City Unveils New Art Incubator

Brownsville artists have a new space to engage the community. They unveil its first art incubator.

This site will be the place where prominent artists will have an outreach opportunity.

Cristina Houle, “I think these artists will be an additional resource for the local artists. In addition the artists here are working to establish additional resources that will outlive the scope of their residency.”

Nancy Guevara, Artist says, “Having actual physical space for us to create and then offering that space for others to create, is a very unique thing for me that the city is doing. I think this a positive state for us and the community.”

The first event to be hosted at this art incubator will be this Saturday, August 27th.
