A sea of red, white and blue in the city of McAllen.
Hundreds of people gathered on Main Street for the 90th Annual Independence Day Celebration. The festivities kicked off with the Fourth of July Parade and continued with the Freedom Festival at Archer Park.
For some first timers, the parade is one good way to start the holiday with the family.
“It’s great! We’ve been here only for about two weeks, so this is a nice surprise for us to see a really big turnout and everybody enjoying themselves, so yeah it’s great.” said McAllen resident Paul Carey.
As a reminder, the city will host its annual Concert In The Sky Celebration tonight at 9:00 p.m. at McAllen Municipal Park.
