City of Lyford to determine new police chief on Friday

The city of Lyford is closer to determining their new police chief.

During a meeting on Monday, it was decided by city commissioners the new police chief will be decided in a closed executive session on Friday.

As CBS 4 has reported, the city of Lyford has gone without a police department since November 2019.

City officials said they’ve received a total of 15 applications for the police chief position and officer positions.
