Christian media company honoring first responders with a Thanksgiving feast

PHARR, Texas – Thanksgiving coming a little early for some area first responders as they were celebrated this afternoon with a luncheon. For the ninth straight year the Christian Academy of the Air, a ministry of Inspiracom, hosting a Thanksgiving feast in honor of the first responders. Attendees were treated to a turkey meal with all the trimmings including desert.

Organizers say the founder of the Christian academy came up with the luncheon idea as a way to thank and honor first responders for what they do everyday for the community.

Juan Gonzalez, Director of Development, Inspiracom, “We appreciate what they do. We are humbled to have them here and we want them to feel comfortable and know we pray daily for them.”

First responders from Mission to McAllen, Hidalgo and Edinburg were invited to participate in today’s luncheon.
