Children’s Museum Unveiling Art Made by Special Needs Kids

Local News

The Children’s Museum of Brownsville is celebrating the artistic creativity of students from their Bright’s Special Spot Art Workshop program. The museum is inviting the community to join them as they unveil their works of art in a gallery. The workshops are designed for children with special needs. They take place every Sunday from October to March.

Felipe Pena, Children’s Museum Executive Director, Bright’s Special Spot Workshop started over nine years ago. It’s an art class for special needs children and it’s really a way for them to kind of express themselves and be a part of a group and create some really amazing artwork all together.

The unveiling of the gallery will take place on Wednesday, March 27 at the Children’s Museum of Brownsville from 5:00 to 7:00 pm. The artwork will be on display for a few months.
