Child found unresponsive in pool, police investigating in Donna

DONNA, Texas —

UPDATE (4/23 9:20 p.m.): Officials confirm that a two-year-old boy has died after being found unresponsive in a pool by family members.

Judge Charlie Espinoza ordered an autopsy for the death of the child.


The Hidalgo County Sheriff’s Office is at a scene in Donna where a child was found unresponsive in an above-ground pool.

According to officials, family members located the unresponsive child in an above-ground pool on Luz Divina Drive in Donna.

The child was transported to a local hospital for emergency medical treatment, said officials.
