Two teens are behind bars for allegedly breaking into a mobile phone store and taking $5,000 worth of merchandise.

On April 13, at 12:48 a.m. Harlingen police arrived to a cell phone business located at the 100 block of Dixieland Road.

According to police, when officers arrived on the scene they discovered the store’s  glass window  had been shattered. 

Police searched the area and located two juvenile males ages 15 and 16. 

During the investigation several cell phones that were allegedly taken from the business were located in the possession of the juvenile males.

The two teens were taken into custody without incident, and the property  valued in excess of $5,000 was recovered and returned to the store manager, according to police.

Police said the two teens have been processed and transported to the Daryl B. Hester Juvenile Detention Center.
