CBP Seizes $374K Worth of Cocaine

U.S. Customs and Border Protection Officers seized 52 pounds of cocaine from entering the country. The drugs were intercepted at the Rio Grande City port of entry.

On Monday, April 3, 2017, officers stopped a 2009 Volkwagen Jetta. Hidden inside the vehicle were 27 packages of cocaine. The estimated worth of the drugs is $374,000.

A 40-year-old person from Camargo, Tamaulipas was arrested and turned over to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and Homeland Security Investigations.
