BROWNSVILLE, Texas — U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officers at the Gateway International Bridge seized $66, 920 of fentanyl, hidden within a vehicle.
According to a release, the vehicle driven by a 33-year-old man was referred to secondary inspection. The inspection led to the discovery of 2.39 pounds of fentanyl hidden within the vehicle, valued at $66,920.
The release states CBP seized the narcotics and the vehicle. The subject was arrested and turned over to Homeland Security Investigation (HIS) for further investigation.
