U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Office of Field Operations at the Pharr International Bridge Cargo Facility seized marijuana valued at $812,836 over the weekend.
The seizure occurred on August 5th. CBP officers assigned to the Pharr International Bridge Cargo Facility encountered a white Freightliner tractor hauling a commercial shipment of limes. After the vehicle was referred for a secondary inspection, CBP officers along with the help of K-9, extracted 528 packages containing a total of 4,064 pounds of marijuana co-mingled within the shipment of limes. The alleged narcotics carry an estimated street value of $812,836.
