The case against a Rio Grande City police clerk has been dismissed.

Triva Solis Flores was arrested back in September for having an improper relationship with a student back in 2015.

Gocha Allen Ramirez, who is Flores’ defense attorney, said they filed a motion to dismiss because the indictment occurred past the statute of limitations of three years.

Rio Grande City Police Chief Noe Castillo confirms to CBS 4 back in September that Flores was currently employed within the department.

Neither Castillo or the Starr County Sheriff’s Department could confirm what school Flores was employed at when the incident occurred.
