New information out of Willacy County where authorities have been investigating the death of a baby at a daycare for weeks.

The case in this infant’s death is now officially closed according to Lyford Police.

On Monday, the autopsy results were released in the death of a nine-month-old girl who died after being found unresponsive at the Kidsville Learning Center in Lyford back in February.

That autopsy report showed that the infant died of natural causes as a result of complications of a viral syndrome and pulmonary hemorrhage.

Based on this investigation, Lyford Police say they have not discovered any criminal intent and no charges will be filed.
