Capable Kids Foundation Getting Ready for Prom

Local News

The Back to School season is just beginning and one group is already planning for prom.

Capable Kids Foundation of the lower valley began fittings with special needs children as they prepare for their September prom. Community members and volunteers are donating gowns, shoes, and supplies to help encourage those with intellectual and physical disabilities.

Stephanie Wilson – Capable Kids Foundation says, “It gives them an opportunity to have fun and experience new things and be in a place that they can be themselves and not have anyone looking funny at them.”

The September 8th theme will be ‘A Night in Paris’. The event is for special needs individuals ages 14 and older.
