The Cameron County Housing Authority is ready to send students back to school in style. The housing authority held several fairs this month that included free haircuts, school supplies, dental check-ups, and other resources to help families.
Daisy Flores – Housing Authority Executive Director said, “It’s important that the children have high self-esteem when they’re going back to school. Where they’re not lacking anything, they don’t feel uncomfortable, and that it makes a child happy. It also helps the parents give the child the ability to succeed.”
The Cameron County Housing Authority will have its last Back to School Fair on Friday, August 17 at the La Feria Hawkins Developments office from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
