Cameron County confirms fourth COVID-19 related death

CAMERON COUNTY, Texas — Cameron County officials confirmed the county’s fourth COVID-19 related death on Thursday.

According to officials, the patient was an 82-year-old female who resided at the Veranda Nursing Home in Harlingen.

This is the third death of a patient at the nursing home. An employee at the facility also died on April 4.

Additionally, Cameron County confirmed 16 more cases of COVID-19 in the county, bringing the total to 270.

Of these 270, 96 have recovered.
