Busy Rescue Season for Border Patrol

On Tuesday, June 13, a subject was rushed to a local hospital after he asked Kingsville agents for medical attention. The Mexican national was suffering from dehydration and was admitted to the hospital for treatment of another heat related illness.

In an unrelated incident, a 911 call alerted McAllen agents of a mother and child lost in the brush. The agents were able to locate the Salvadoran family near Peñitas, Texas. Both were safe and in good health.

On Wednesday afternoon, June 14, Fort Brown agents located a deceased subject near Brownsville, Texas.  The body was reported by a concerned citizen who saw it on the United States side of the Rio Grande River. The body was retrieved and turned over to a local funeral home.
