Burglary with Intent to Commit Assault

On Friday, June 17, about 12:56 pm, the Pharr Police Department received a call for service at the 3100 block of North Erica Street in Pharr in reference to a possible Home Invasion.  As Officers arrived, they learned from the male victim, identified as 23 year old Joshua Acosta, that two subjects forced their way into his home. Mr. Acosta said that the suspects, identified as 25 year old Andrew Rodriguez and 29 year old Kyndra Gonzalez entered his bedroom where Ms. Gonzalez demanded money.  Mr. Acosta was then shot one time with a handgun in the left leg.  Mr. Rodriguez is described as a Hispanic male with brown hair and brown eyes, about 5’9” and weighing about 170 lbs. He has tattoos on his arms, hands and back. Kyndra Gonzalez is described as a Hispanic female, standing at about 5’3” and 263 lbs. with brown eyes and brown hair and  has a scar on her upper arm.  The suspects then left in a four door black 2007 BMW passenger car displaying Texas License Plates FDS-8693 in an unknown direction. Mr. Acosta was transported to a local hospital for treatment. This case is still under investigation.

On Monday afternoon about 1:00 pm Pharr Police Investigators arrested Andrew Rodriguez at an undisclosed location in Edinburg. He was arrested without incident and he will be arraigned at a later date. Kyndra Gonzalez is on the run and wanted for questioning.
