Buckner Family Hope Center hosting Breast Cancer Awareness Walk

PENITAS, Texas – Throughout National Breast Cancer Awareness Month clients of the Buckner Family Hope Center have sold T-shirts they have designed. The sales are to raise money to cover medical costs for their friends, Beatriz Almazan and Guadalupe del Rosario Garcia. Both women are breast cancer survivors and Family Hope Center clients.

To date, 220 shirts have been sold and $1,155 raised for the women.

The event will begin with Beatriz Almazan and Guadalupe Del Rosario Garcia offering their testimony before participants set out in their shirts reading “Fight like a Wonder Woman; Fighting Together” for a one-mile walk.

The event will take place on Wednesday, Oct. 30 from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. Location will be at the Buckner Family Hope Center in Peñitas at 39614 Mile 7 Road, Ste. 3.
