Brownsville PUB activates Emergency Operations Center

BROWNSVILLE, Texas – With the threat of Tropical Storm Hanna, Brownsville Public Utilities Board (BPUB) said it has activated its emergency operations center.

The PUB said if power, water or wastewater service interruptions occur due to downed power lines or natural causes, BPUB employees are trained and ready to restore electricity, water and wastewater services to Brownsville. Crews will be dispatched once conditions are deemed safe.

BPUB staff and crews will remain on duty throughout the storm and will work to restore utility services as soon as the danger passes, said the PUB.

Customers can call 956-983-6100 for service outages and emergencies.
