A local organization in Brownsville is continuing to remain involved in the community by helping others.

Leadership Brownsville, which is an organization that individuals apply for, research and find area businesses or non-profits to help support them.

Gabriel Garcia, Community Outreach Coordinator for Monica and Maggie’s House said that Leadership Class 35 chose a beautification project including interior, exterior and rebranding of Monica’s House, along with a gazebo which has already been put together.

“It’s extremely important for us to get involved in our community,” said Garcia. “One way we get involved in our community is by researching and what agencies or non-profit agencies in the Brownsville area need assistance. It’s very important for us to be involved because we want the best for our community and we want the best for our local non-profits.”

If you want to get involved, you can visit https://www.monicashouse.org and you can purchase a brick paver which will be included in a path going from Monica’s House to the gazebo, which was built over the weekend.
