BROWNSVILLE, Texas – A Brownsville man will spend the next 60 years behind bars for repeatedly abusing a young girl. 27-year-old Luis Fernando Puente was sentenced to state prison after being convicted of the Sexual Abuse of A Child over several years. He was also found guilty of Possessing Child Pornography. Since the child abuse unit was established in the 2001 more than 400 cases have resulted in indictments or sentences.
